When creating Many Waters I found my self in an ocean of emotions. I read, I watched, and I experienced many emotions. This is a path I can not recommend anyone to follow. This emotions, yet predominantly darkness. Yet in musical terms it there is a sort of warmth. This path of darkness was not one I originally anticipated, and yet like shadows on a sunny day they came. So in Many Water I meditated on the human emotions of deep sadness, grief, fear, pain, and yes even some joy. Yet I seemed to dive deeper into darkness, however joy is what I should have been diving into.

So what is Many Waters?

A meditation on human emotions.

Like I stated above I read, I watched. I took inspiration from books, from films and from personal experience. The main theme is emotions, yet there is a driving factor of looking to God as the only hope to escape the dark, deep waters of are many emotions.

Psalms 18:16: He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

A large inspiration for the album title came from the Psalm above. My hope for the album is to shine some light into the many dark places of are emotions.

God will meet each of us in those dark times, places and He will give us a guiding light to follow. One that will draw us closer to Him, to the light.
